Iran Manganese Mining Company was established on March 6 of 2003 by the name of Shahrokh Manganese Mines Joint Stock Company. After that, the name of the company changed to the Iran Manganese mines; and the main center of the company was transferred from Tehran to Qom; and the company was admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange in 2002. The company have 5 million tons of proven reserves and 5/3 million tons of probable reserves; this company is the largest Manganese mine in the Middle East and is considered as the main supplier of manganese starch needed by Isfahan Steel Company. With a minimum annual production of 100,000 tons of manganese, it has ranked the largest producer of manganese in Iran and the Middle East. The company succeeded in gaining the status of superiority of the country and the provinces in different levels from 1997 and 2010.
